Dear HRCU Member,
I would like to inform you of two important notifications that may impact members.
First, early morning on Monday, December 9th, 2024, HRCU will perform a core system migration from an on-premises platform system to a cloud-based environment. The planning for which began more than a year ago and encompassed significant due diligence and evaluation processes. The purpose of this planned action is to improve system efficiency, security, and incident response preparedness, as well as member service.
Since migration efforts will take place prior to the opening of the credit union for business hours, members will experience little, if any, impact on services. However, the credit union’s audio, online, and mobile access platforms will be temporarily unavailable during the early morning hours on this date. The potential risk of an extended service interruption is not anticipated due to the migration, and all services are expected to be restored prior to the credit union’s opening at 7:30AM on December 9th, 2024.
Second, over the last several months certain functions relating to credit union operations were analyzed and evaluated. Part of this process included data gathering of branch traffic patterns and usage by members. The analysis confirmed suspected changes in member branch traffic patterns beginning with the COVID pandemic that have since accelerated. Today, more members have adopted and are using the credit union’s drive-through service and new online & mobile application platforms than ever before. While this is great news, it has changed when and how members use branch locations.
In response, to more efficiently serve members and allocate the appropriate resources necessary, branch hours will change to the following beginning on Thursday, January 2nd, 2025:

Orwigsburg, Hometown, & Pine Grove Monday-Thursday: 8:00AM – 4:30PM
Friday: 8:00AM – 6:00PM
Saturday: Closed
Pottsville Monday-Thursday: 7:30AM – 5:00PM
No Changes to Existing Hours Friday: 7:30AM – 6:00PM
Saturday: 9:00AM – 1:00PM (Drive-Thru Only)
