HRCU seeks a seasoned and detail-oriented <strong>VP of Accounting and Finance</strong> to join the senior management team, reporting directly to the CEO. This individual will lead the development and execution of financial strategies that support the credit union’s long-term goals, ensure sound fiscal management, and promote organizational stability. The innovative leader will provide strategic leadership to advance the credit union’s mission and improve the financial lives of members. Specifically, the VP will oversee all financial and accounting functions, including forecasting, asset-liability management, budgeting, financial reporting, risk oversight, investment operations, financial auditing, and analysis. The VP will ensure accurate financial records and reporting, assist with investment and rate decisions, and serve as a liaison for regulatory authorities and auditors. This position also involves working closely with other department leaders to support organizational objectives, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes teamwork and effective communication. At least 8 years of financial leadership experience, ideally within a credit union or financial services sector, is required. A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline.

The <strong>Member Experience & Product Implementation Manager</strong> must be a strong team leader with a positive attitude, excellent organizational skills, and member service focus.

 

<strong>Essential Functions:</strong>

• Evaluates credit union products and services.
• Necessitates changes for improvement.
• Ensures consistent and seamless member service experience across all service delivery channels.
• Is an advocate for the maintenance and enhancement of member products and services.
• Acts in coordination with marketing to grow membership and improve organic membership engagement in accordance with credit union objectives.
• Acts to leverage technology to improve member service experiences.
• Acts as the lead and coordinates the implementation of new products and services.
• Project management to include resourcing, coordination, and implementation oversight.
• Stays abreast of movement and technology trends that impact service and product delivery.
• Supports organic credit union and community outreach efforts in accordance with mission, values and brand.

A <strong>Member Service Representative</strong> must display a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a member-friendly approach. Member Service Representatives shape every member interaction and hold the pivotal role of ensuring member satisfaction and retention.

 

<strong>Responsibilities:</strong>

• Provide prompt, professional, helpful, knowledgeable, and courteous member service.
• Accurately handle member financial transactions according to Credit Union policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Receive and process deposits, checks, payments, and other financial transactions in an accurate and timely manner.
• Answer questions, address inquiries, and transfer phone calls.
• Provide clear direction for member needs by utilizing listening, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Perform member service activities and responsibilities.

 

<strong>Required Skills and Abilities:</strong>

• Prior work experience 1+ year is preferred.
• General and business knowledge equivalent to a high school diploma.

 

<strong>Required Experience:</strong>

• 1+ year of cash handling and customer service.
• 1+ year of Banking or financial institution experience, credit union experience preferred.

 

<strong>Required Education:</strong>

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate (GED).

<strong>Full-Time Schedules:</strong>

• 40 hours a week, rotational Saturdays.

 

<strong>Part-Time Schedules:</strong>

• 28-36 hours a week, rotational Saturdays.
