Vice President of Operations

Pottsville, PA

Full-Time Position

 

The Vice President of Operations is responsible for leading the retail operations team and meeting member service objectives.

 

Essential Functions

  • Reports to the CEO.
  • Knowledge of the Symitar core system.
  • Supervises, directs, and coordinates all operations staff and daily activities.
  • Ensures operational compliance with regulatory directives.
  • Responsible for all facets of member service, transaction activity, and delivering quality member service experience.
  • Supervises branch activities and is responsible for all credit union related products and services.

Member Service Representative

Full & Part-Time Positions

 

A Member Service Representative must display a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and member service abilities. Prior work experience is preferred, but not required.

 

Locations:

  • Pine Grove
  • Orwigsburg
  • Hometown
  • Pottsville

 

 Responsibilities:

  • Provide prompt, professional, helpful, knowledgeable, and courteous member service.
  • Accurately handle member financial transactions according to Credit Union policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Receive and process deposits, checks, payments, and other financial transactions in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Answer and address questions, and transfer phone calls.
  • Provide clear direction for members needs by utilizing listening, communicating and problem-solving skills.
  • Perform member service activities and responsibilities.


Experience:

  • Cash handling: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Banking: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)

 

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate (GED) required.

 

Schedule:

  • Full-time schedules are 40 hours per week.

Loan Representative

Pottsville, PA

Full-Time Position

 

A Loan Representative must display a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and member service abilities. Prior work experience of 5+ years is preferred.

 

Responsibilities:

As a member of the Lending Department, the Loan Representative will be required to assist members with the application, processing, and servicing of applicable loans and all other assigned duties required. The applicant will also be required to gain knowledge and experience within a specialized lending environment and report to the Lending Manager.

 

Required Experience:

  • Prior work experience; 5+ years is preferred
  • Customer service: 5+ years
  • Banking: 1+ year preferred
  • Loan product and service environment: 1 year (Required)
  • General and business knowledge equivalent to a high school diploma


Education:

Collector

Pottsville, PA

Part-Time Position

 

The Collector is responsible for all daily activities, responsibilities, and operations associated with the credit union’s collection process.

 

 Essential Functions:

  • Represents the credit union in a courteous and professional manner in all member interactions.
  • Manage loan delinquencies using Episys reports. Determines reasons for default, communicates with members, and takes appropriate actions to correct or bring loan current.
  • Recommends actions for delinquencies, including loan remodification, repossession, charging off account, sending to third party collection agency, or attorney.
  • Sends out all delinquent notices and follows up with phone calls and emails.
  • Responds to all collection-related questions from branch staff. · Maintains detailed records of all collection activity, including detailed documentation in Episys.
  • Prepares monthly collection-related reports.
  • Manages all member bankruptcy claims, including filing paperwork, attending hearings, and all necessary follow up.
  • Files judgements and civil complaints and performs follow-up activities as necessary.
  • Works with repossession agencies.
  • Works with collection agencies in the collection of loans.
  • Works with the credit union attorney as part of the collections process.
  • Maintains a comprehensive knowledge of all related policies, procedures, rules, and regulations applicable for the position, and keeps abreast of any changes.
  • Evaluates current collection policies and practices; recommends changes to VP of Lending.
  • Coordinate, centralize, administer, and report Collecto activities for efficiency and management purposes.


Required Experience:

  • Work related experience should include 1 or more years of broad credit union operational knowledge and experience. Experiences to include member service operations, problem solving and researching abilities, the understanding of basic financial information, and work experience within a team environment to achieve organizational goals.

  • Analytical skills and organizational abilities.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Time management skills and the ability to multitask and manage projects.
  • Ability to work with little supervision and can display a high degree of initiative and self-motivation is critical to the position.
  • The position will require additional specialized training and educational experiences as a job requirement.
